How to obtain a Concealed Carry Permit in New Mexico

 

The New Mexico Department of Public Safety administers the Concealed Handgun Carry Licensing Program under the authority of the New Mexico Concealed Handgun Carry Act of 2003.

NMDPS licenses individuals to carry concealed handguns within New Mexico, evaluates the eligibility of applicants through criminal history background checks and monitors those currently licensed to ensure their continued eligibility.
